Ni Xiong
Research Assistant
Ni Xiong is a first‑year student at the Duke Global Health Institute and a recent graduate of the University of Florida (BSBA—Information Systems). Previously, he supported growth as a marketing consulting intern at Ford’s Garage and received the Outstanding Team Award in UF’s Emerging Enterprise Consulting Program. He was a trainee data analyst at Tsinghua University’s VSPH, where he supported an emergency care aid project using SPSS and R for sampling and visualization across settings including South Africa. His current interests center on classification, survival analysis, and recurrent neural networks for medical data and AI‑enabled online diagnosis. His toolkit includes Python, Java, SQL, and Tableau; he is fluent in Mandarin and English.
