Alcade Fabrice Uwonkunda is a health-tech entrepreneur, development researcher, and biomedical technician with expertise in healthcare management, program monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and digital health innovation. He is a Master of Science in Global Health student at Duke University and a Research Assistant at the Duke Global Health Innovation Center (GHIC).
Alcade is the Founder and Strategy Advisor at “New e-Health World”, where he leads startups with AI-driven initiatives to enhance diagnosis and treatment across healthcare systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously served as a Business Development Advisor at CDP Africa and Development Researcher at Vanguard Economics Ltd. He is also the Co-Founder of “Mouzah Designs Ltd”, a youth-led manufacturing company promoting the circular economy and sustainable employment for vulnerable communities.
Passionate about global health equity and climate change resilience, Alcade works to advance innovative and inclusive solutions that improve community well-being. A recipient of the “Youth Connekt Africa Award” (2021), he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management with a concentration in Global Perspectives from Southern New Hampshire University and an Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology from IPRC Kigali.
