Key Highlights:
AI Learning Lab Launched ➡️ We launched an innovation incubator supporting six pioneering organizations applying AI solutions to local health challenges in low- and middle-income countries
Rwanda’s Model Marburg Response ➡️ Through the COVID Treatment Quickstart Consortium, our on-the-ground team helped Rwanda achieve one of the lowest mortality rates ever recorded in a Marburg outbreak, ending the crisis with just 66 confirmed cases and 15 deaths. A testament to pandemic preparedness that works
Global Health Innovation Grants Impact ➡️ Over the past decade, organizations supported through the Global Health Innovation Grant program have collectively improved access to quality health services for more than 6 million people, demonstrating the power of investing in local innovation
Closing the Innovation Gap ➡️ Our research in The Lancet Global Health is driving direct partnerships with Ministries of Health in Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa to accelerate access to life-saving biomedical innovations
Empowering the Next Generation ➡️ 90 students engaged in hands-on global health work, from rural North Carolina to communities worldwide
